The College of Law Practice Management (“COLPM”) has inducted Robin Rolfe as a Fellow in the College. Ms. Rolfe is President of Robin Rolfe Resources (“RRR”), a strategic planning and business development consulting firm to the legal community.

The COLPM extends fellowships to honor the extraordinary achievement of law practice management professionals. Fellows must be nominated by their peers and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant organization and management experience.

“To be recognized among the innovators in the field is an honor,” said Rolfe. “I have been focused on the challenges confronting the legal profession, and particularly as they affect international intellectual property law and management. ‘IP on the org chart’ has changed dramatically in the past decade and so have the ways legal departments and firms provide services. Today, the issues are more complex than ever and I fear that in-house departments and law firms around the world have not been sufficiently proactive or bold to address the role of IP in its business context.”

Rolfe served as Executive Director of the International Trademark Association (INTA) for 17 years prior to founding Robin Rolfe Resources. She has been active in the intellectual property legal community throughout her career and is a member of INTA, AIPLA, AIPPI and ABA-IP. In addition to her work with corporate IP departments and law firms, she conducted the International Association of Intellectual Property (“AIPPI”) and Global Advertising Law Alliance (“GALA”) strategic directions studies and facilitated the American Intellectual Property Association’s (“AIPLA”) prioritization of its strategic plan.

Rolfe, who practiced law with a Fortune company and law firm early in her career, earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University, cum laude, and a B.A. in English from Penn State University, where she was named Outstanding Senior and elected to the Mortar Board Society.

Founded in 1994, the COLPM honors outstanding law practice management professionals, sets standards of achievement for the profession, assists in projects that enhance the highest quality of law practice management and stimulates innovation in the delivery of legal services.
